Rock 'n Roll Ghost S1 E10 - Filmmaker Ric Roman Waugh (Greenland)

Welcome back to the Rock 'n Roll Ghost Podcast. This week, the Ghost speaks with director Ric Roman Waugh (Felon, Snitch, Shot Caller, Angel Has Fallen) about his new film, Greenland, starring Gerard Butler (300, the "Fallen" trilogy), Morena Baccarin (Deadpool, TV's Gotham and Homeland) and Scott Glenn (The Right Stuff, Backdraft). The film details a family's struggle to survive an impending asteroid collision. Despite the numerous "end of the world" films of recent memory, Greenland stands out for its dramatic situations rather than for its visual/CGI "spectacle." Both Butler and Baccarin deliver strong performances showing a family in deep crises. In the interview, Waugh discusses the making of the film, specifically putting it together in the wake of Covid-19. He also talks about working with legendary filmmaker Tony Scott as a stuntman on many of the late, great director's films. Greenland is set to make it's debut in U.S. theaters on Friday, September 25th.
